The drive to the Cuff Button Trailhead in the Superstition Wilderness is high clearance 4WD only! The creekbed portion of FR-305 changes with every rain and with the amount of traffic since the last rain. This area is rarely visited. If your vehicle breaks down, you'll have to hike to Horrell Ranch at the junction of FR-287 and FR-305 and ask for help.

- Take US-60 west from Superior, Arizona to FR-287. Follow the instruction for the Haunted Canyon Trailheads until you cross the bridge over Pinto Creek. Just past the bridge continue to head north on FR-287 rather than turning onto FR-287A to the Miles Trailhead.

- You'll come to the active Horrel Ranch. Just past the ranch house you'll see a sign for the Horrell Creek Trailhead and you'll make a left turn onto FR-305 . (I've never seen a FR-305 sign.)

- Take FR-305 east for 2.8 miles. You'll come to a sign at a "Y" in the road. The Cuff Button Trail is several hundred feet south of the intersection and there's parking for a couple vehicles near a well.

- The other branch becomes FR-306 and heads northwest to provide access to Mormon Corral Spring and the abandonded West Pinto Trail. (I've never been able to find any info on the Horrell Creek Trailhead that's supposed to be 1/2 mile away.)
