This section (about half a mile) is the hardest part to follow since it's lush with faster growing plants and the destination isn't obvious. If you lose the path, stop immediately and backtrack looking for the turn that you missed. It's probably hiding behind a manzanita branch. You may need to use the GPS track to stay on path.
