Elephant Butte Road is an extreme-4WD road that starts at the SE corner of the golf course in Queen Valley. Round trip driving time from the intersection of Loop 101 and US 60 in Tempe was 5 hours for 100 miles.

The white dots to the north of the yellow trip line represent an earlier short hike in this area. Note how close it is to Miner's Needle (at upper left)

The loop in Queen Valley represents going through town on the way out.
